Colorado, Utah, and Idaho

COLORADO

We spent 2 nights in Denver Colorado. On the way into Denver the vans split up one van went to the Airbnb and the other to the Denver airport. One of our Interns had been with her family for a week and we went to get her from the airport. We unpacked and settled down had dinner and got to discuss how the drive went and all the things God had done during the drive.

God had divine appointments at several of our stops. Gas stations are a great place to share the gospel. I saw people literally light up when I told them that Jesus cares about them and loves them.

A few of my team mates had more hostile encounters but the name of Jesus was spread all around Denver.

Sunday morning we went to Calvary South Denver and shared our School of Evangelism class with the youth group. We had a team in another room interceding for the group and praying over the youth. We have all had the Lord press on our hearts the importance of prayer and intercession and because of that we have decided that during services and outreachs we will have a prayer team.

After church a few of the youth kids come with us to the strip mall in town to evangelize. All of the youth split up and went with one or two of the team members. Ruby and I got to hangout with a girl named Candace. She is 14 and a little evangelist. She was so excited to share. She was rejected by like 3 or 4 people in a row, Ruby and I encouraged her to keep sharing and explained some different reasons people reject. She kept going and was able to pass out several tracts to people and she was telling us how she was going to keep doing this when she goes to the library and such. I was so encouraged by her. When the groups met back up I found out that most of the youth kids that came with us all had the same fire and passion to share Jesus.

After we left the mall the vans split up and half of us went to Barnes and Noble. There were a few of us that wanted to get Bibles. We ended up starting a conversation with this woman named Lori, a believer. She works for a pregnancy center in Denver. We got to pray with her and encourage her. We went home and relaxed until dinner time.

The team went to In-N-Out for dinner. There were so many divine appointments. Ruby and I got to have a conversation with a woman named Christi, she was also a believer. She was so encouraged by what we were doing. After she ate she came and found Ruby and me and told us how the Lord had answered a prayer while she was eating. It was such an encouragement to us! So many people at In-N-Out heard about Jesus Sunday night! It was so sweet!

UTAH

Tuesday we went to a town outside Salt Lake City called Tooele Springs. We spent a few days there. We had a worship night with the Young Adults and Caleb shared a short devotional. We got to spend time after talking with some of the Young Adults and encourage them. On Wednesday we got to share our School of Evangelsim class with the whole church.

Let's talk about spiritual warfare. The team noticed as soon as we got to Utah that something was different. Satan is welcome in Utah. It's an incredibly beautiful place, spiritually though its ugly. During the Wednesday service the spiritual attack was obvious. While we were doing worship the iPad with the chord charts turned off. Right after worship the microphone the group was using stopped working. We got the mic back up and the clicker for the slideshow stopped working. And then the microphone stopped working again. We stopped and prayed knowing that the enemy was just messing with us. After that things ran pretty smoothly. My team and I were fired up to share the Evangelism class and God was moving in the church! People were really encouraged!

Overall the church was encouraged and we were encouraged. God is doing a work in Utah!

Idaho

We drove through Idaho on our way to Oregon/Washington. We stopped at a Target to get coffee and shared the gospel. It was really beautiful watching two small groups praying with people at Target. After that we went to Shoshone Falls. While we were there we shared the gospel with several people. One of them was a Muslim man from Africa. A local man told us a story about a guy diving in. We got to share the gospel with several people there!

We stayed at a hotel for the night. During breakfast we started talking with this woman and her husband. She was from Jerusalem and her husband and her had just started a home fellowship in Idaho!

God is working at EVERY stop! He is so good!
