I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that when I die I am going to spend eternity with my Father in Heaven. Eternity which has already begun in my life, eternity which began as soon as I surrendered my life to Christ. So today I pose a question: "Where will you spend eternity?" If you have any doubts or questions, please reach out to me.
This is an important question. One that we ask people on a daily basis. And one we did not shy away from in Las Vegas. We got to spend two nights there. Our first night we stayed in the hotel and evangelized to the people there. Sharing with those God led us to share with. A group of our guys had the opportunity to go to the strip and evangelize and somebody gave their life to Christ. That first night we dealt with hard-hearted people and people who had already been wrestling with God, seeds where planted and watered and we got to watch the Lord harvest as well! God is so good!
The next day we got to go to the Calvary Chapel Las Vegas Christian School and share with their High School students. We shared testimonies about what God had been doing in our lives. We got to pray with students and encouraged them all to check out the ministry and pray about it. That evening we went back to CCLV and got to share testimonies with the Young Adults group. I got to catch up with a friend that lives in the area, so sweet! We met several people that were interested in the ministry and will be praying about coming for Term 6!
The next morning we had planned on leaving pretty early, but God had other plans for us, plans we were more than willing to walk in. We loaded up the vans and stopped for brunch, waiting for the food we witnessed a car accident. We got to call for help and talk with and encourage those who were in the accident before first responders arrived. Thankfully nobody was injured! After that we decided to check the fluids in the vans and put new windshield wipers on. While a few of the guys worked on that, the rest of us went in to Walmart to share the gospel. A few people were very receptive and started conversations. We even got to pray with a few people. God was not done with His work in Las Vegas yet!
We had planned to visit the Grand Canyon and share the gospel but God had other plans.
God is working every place that we get to go. A verse that has been echoing in my heart is “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too" Acts 17:6b. I pray this is what is happening through our team. We want to turn the world upside down!
