Today is day 28, the past 28 days have been incredible. To be completely honest I am struggling with some things. We have been wrestling with a lot of spiritual warfare here. The enemy is real and he really is seeking whom he may devour. He has been attacking students and my team, all of us in very different and specific ways.

My biggest request is prayer. Please please pray for us. I miss some of the little things from America like Iced Coffee and Carne Asada tacos. I miss people from home. Communication is hard here. It’s spiritually so heavy here. Witchcraft is regularly practiced here and people even at the Christian school are sometimes involved. We see students struggling especially during prayer and worship times. Pray for salvation for students.

I love it here! God has been growing me and strengthening me in ways I have never experienced. My faith has grown exponentially in the last week even. I have seen God deliver people from demonic attacks. All I know is that God is greater than the enemy and He is faithful to do what He says He will do. I have experienced God heal. I prayed over one of the students who was experiencing serious stomach pain, he was doubled over in pain, and as I was praying he was able to stand straight and when I was finished he told me he was not experiencing pain and he hasn’t experienced it since!

It’s been sweet being able to serve here. I have taken a position, with one of the other girls on my team, in the school serving the teachers by making their copies. We have also decided to help organize their resource room and curriculum library. It’s been really cool getting to know some of the teachers and become friends with them.

The team has been assigned students in the higher primary classes to disciple. I have 3 girls in my group, ages 16-14. My girls and I are going through scripture together and it’s been a sweet time getting to know them. Pray that the Lord would use me to speak into their life. Pray that they would grow in their relationships with the Lord!

All in all, I am really enjoying my time in Africa. While there may be struggles and even some days I’m not happy to be here. I am happy to be here and know that it is God’s will that I am here.

Thank you all so much for your prayer and support.
