I’m going back to School!
Read to the end to hear more about that!
So much has changed since my last post! (I feel like that’s how I start most of my posts!) What a reminder that Our God is the creator! He creates new things in our lives all of the time! His word says “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10. That is truly what my life has been the past several months! I am His workmanship and He has been revealing these good works that I have been walking in!
Look what God has done
So let’s get into the things God has done!
In my last post I had mentioned that Caleb and I had decided to postpone the wedding. After much prayer and talking with one another and discussing some challenges we were facing as a couple and looking at the paths we felt God was calling us to walk down, we decided to just be friends. Since then our friendship has really grown and it’s been fun spending time with him as a friend. Since I moved to his hometown near his family I’ve also gotten to spend time with them and build friendships with his siblings and parents! It’s been so sweet!

Work
I got the funnest summer job! I’ve been working as the plant vendor at Walmart. So I work for the company that grows the plants for Walmart and I get to make the plant displays and make sure they are being taken care of! It has been a lot of fun and I’ve had some really cool opportunities to talk about Jesus! I’ve actually had a really cool opportunity to share with one coworker that is transgender and wanting to transition! It’s been sweet getting to share with him how much his creator loves him and desires to have a relationship! I’ve also gotten to talk with many customers that are Christian and pray with them and encourage them!

Evangelism
Since I’m only an hour away from Portland/Vancouver area I’ve been able to go up there and evangelize with Caleb and Spencer (one of the guys from my tenth hour team) and I have a few stories with that. (One of them involves me crying in the Barnes and Noble bathroom before praying with a stranger and then sharing the gospel with a girl at the store.) This summer has been a whirlwind, and it’s hard to capture it in an update like this. So please feel free to message me or call me if you ever want to chat or share a prayer request!

Summer meets Fall
So with the seasons changing, both literally and spiritually, the question is what now?
That’s the question I’ve been asking God for several weeks now! In a series of events involving job searching and the call I feel God has placed on my life, I have decided to go back to school! As many of you know in April of 2021 I graduated from CCBC with my B.A. in Biblical Studies, and that was an wonderful season. And now I feel like I need to pursue a degree in education. When I rededicated my life to Christ I heard God say “Go back to school I want you to be a teacher”, so I did and ended up at CCBC. But to teach in a classroom at most schools, public or private, you need a teaching certificate. So I’m pursing that! I have enrolled to Calvary Chapel University and I am pursing a M.A. in Christian Education! This program is 36 credits and it is all online! AND they are offering me a 50% scholarship because I am a graduate of CCBC! That means my classes will only be $630 each! Honestly I’m so stoked! I love school and I can’t wait to be doing classes again! My first class starts in October!
Other than school though I’m not sure what is next. My job is seasonal so I’ll only be working there for a few more days. I don’t really know if God is leading me somewhere else for a time or if He’s wanting me to stay in Oregon. All I really know is that He is good! He is faithful and will show me His plans!

Prayer requests!
Direction in what to do while I am taking my classes.
Financial provision for my classes and everything else since my job is ending.
My transgender coworkers salvation.
Boldness to continue sharing Christ on a daily basis.
I love every one of you and I am so blessed I get to share my life with people through my blog! If you haven’t yet please subscribe! And please share it with your friends and family!
