Back in America

What just happened?

My team and I are at our campus in New Mexico debriefing and looking back at our time in Uganda and the things that God did. I don’t know what to say really. Since being back in America God has revealed to me things about my time in Uganda. He showed me that I had began neglecting my relationship with Him and allowed other things to become a priority rather than my own spiritual health. I was not loving my team like I should have been. Despite these things God was still faithful to teach me and even chose to use me.

I was still able to spread the Gospel. I was still able to serve God by working at the school. I was still able to develop relationships that will last into eternity. Above all of that God still chose to love me. God knew what would happen before I went and He still sent me. I realized that the things I struggled with in Uganda are things I also struggle with in America. These are things that God is teaching me how to battle in His strength.

Since being back in America I was able to go to go to church. The pastor had been going through the book of Nehemiah and God really used him to speak into my life. The verse that God used was “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah‬ ‭4:6‬. God has continued using this verse to minister to me.

I’m happy to be back in America. I do miss Uganda very much and pray that one day God would bring me back.

What’s next?

So I’m back and I’m debriefing but what about my next step.

I will be graduating from Tenth Hour Project on April 8th and then I will go home. But this is just a short visit because I have been asked to join Term 6 in their East Coast tour!! I’m very excited about this, when my term (term 5) went on tour I really enjoyed it. However, tour is not free, I will have to contribute to food, gas, lodging etc.. The cost for me will be $600. I’m praying that God would provide the money for me to go on the tour. We leave on August 15!

Pray for term 6 as the get ready to leave for the next tour. Pray that God would continue to grow the relationships I have with them.
