Salvation Story

Bri is in red! She got saved!

Man week 4 has been so cool but nothing compares to what happened at Saturday market this week! Bri got SAVED!!

Two of the interns Caleb and James were talking with this couple when the rest of the group arrived. Caleb was supposed to be the intern over the group I was in. In order not to make them feel overwhelmed Amri, the other girl in my group, and I stood off a bit and prayed. I asked them later how the conversation was going before we got there. Bri was open to hear from the beginning but it was obvious to the guys that she had been hurt before. She shared that she.was scared of dying. This is when they really brought the conversation to Christ. She was very recieving and interested in what the guys had to say. Caleb then mentioned getting a Bible and asked if we had any Bibles in the van and Amri and I both had brought Bibles so we joined the conversation. We shared the Gospel and that God wanted a relationship with her. Caleb read "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:" John 1:12 and asked if she wanted to believe in Him. She said yes!!! AHHH SHE SAID YES! So we prayed and she confessed her sins!

James and his group left to evangelize to other people and Caleb, Amri, and I stayed with her. Her boyfriend was not really interested but we wanted to read scripture with her and she was EXCITED! So she gave him her keys and told him to come back later. She asked us what she should do about him thinking that God is just bologna and we told her to pray and ask God for wisdom. She also told us that she had prayed Friday night and asked God to show her a sign if He was real. We were literally an answer to her prayer! We then sat down and started reading John to her. She followed along in the Bible she recieved today! She was so excited to have a Bible of her own and we encouraged her to write in it. She has lots of questions and is so hungry for God!

Then it was time to leave. So she walked back with us to meet the rest of the team and we prayed for her. She is so full of the joy of the Lord and so excited to be in a Relationship with God! We exchanged phone numbers and she's going to come to church with us and come to the Bible Study we have!

PRAYER

If you guys would come along side us and pray for her. Being so new to this relationship we know the enemy will be attacking her. Pray that she would stand strong in the faith and grow in this relationship. We are so excited to have a new sister in the family of Christ! Rejoice with us and pray! God is working and moving!
