Every week when I sit down to write my blog I think to myself, sometimes even out loud to the people around me, "what do I write about this week?". And typically I think of a random story that happened during the week or something cool in the teaching, somebody reminds me or something or I read some of the things I have in my journal. Well this week I've thought of some really cool stuff God has done in my personal life.
Honestly I can't really share most of it. But there has been exponential growth. I've walked through a few hard things in my personal life this week. I want to be really raw and honest with you guys and tell you everything but I can't. But I want you to know that I have individuals in my life that are walking with me through these things, pointing me back to God and His Word. However none of it should be shared with the world.
In all of these situations and trials I have been reminded that God is in control and I am not. Thank God! You know really believing in the Sovereignty of God and trusting that He knows what He's doing is hard, but so so worth it. When we give up the idea that we can control our lives God gives us peace. So this week I learned to "let god and let God" as some people say.
Update on Bri:
Obviously I am not going to share detail of her life because it's not mine to share but God is working! She is so hungry for Gods word. She made it to the Young Adults group and was actually a huge encouragement to us. Her hunger and eagerness to know God reminded us of why we share the Gospel. This world is lost and in need of a Savior.
White Sands:
About an hour away from campus is White Sands, it's this really cool place where the military tests missiles and that the public can go and hangout, it's a national park. Anyways we went for the second time this week. It was really fun. You can sled down the sand dunes and the sunset is always gorgeous. We went last week also, it stormed though so we didnt get to stay long. But we got to see the power of God in the lightning. It was beautiful!
